CEREMONY FOR THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC TO PRESENT FOOD SUPPLIES TO THE CATHOLIC AND MUSLIM COMMUNITIES

The ceremony began with prayers. Mr. Sylla ZAKARIA offered his prayer on behalf of the Muslim community, and Mrs. Thérèse BALLO led the prayer on behalf of the Catholic Christians. Around 500 people gathered at the esplanade of the Félix Houphouet Boigny Foundation for Peace Research to receive 650 25 kg bags of rice and 140 50 kg bags of sugar.
As the President was unable to attend, the Minister Governor, on behalf of the President of the Republic, personally presented the lives to the two communities. He then congratulated them for their large presence at the ceremony. It is always good to share some choices and do good to the poor and the destitute, because what is the point of hoarding wealth without thinking of others? Good deeds are never lost. God, in secret, perceives all the actions we perform, he stated.

The spokesperson for the Muslim Community, Mr. Sylla Zakaria, spoke in the Malinke language to thank the Head of State and the Minister Governor. These words of thanks were accompanied by blessings and prayers. Then, the representative of the Catholic Christian Community, Mrs. Thérèse Ballo, expressed her sincere thanks and blessings to the President of the Republic, not forgetting the Minister Governor, Dr. Augustin Thiam, and his colleagues.
To close the donation ceremony, the Minister, Governor Doctor Augustin THIAM, took the floor to thank the President of the Republic, His Excellency Alassane OUATTARA, for this remarkable gesture. He also asked the two communities to pray for their patron, the President of the Republic, and to continue praying for Côte d'Ivoire so that fraternity and social cohesion may always reign.
