YAMOUSSOUKRO AT ITS TOP: TWO FIRST AWARDS RECOGNIZE ITS COMMITMENT TO YOUTH EMPLOYMENT

The Yamoussoukro Autonomous District distinguished itself at the awards ceremony for the best regions of the MOD (Democratic Organization of the Regions), winning first prize for the PEJEDEC project and first prize for the C2D Youth Employment project on Friday, October 16, 2026, at the Abidjan Exhibition Center.
This double distinction recognizes the quality of the actions undertaken by the Yamoussoukro Autonomous District to promote professional integration and youth employment, as well as its commitment to implementing development projects.
The Yamoussoukro Autonomous District was represented at the ceremony by Mr. Augustin Félix KOUASSI, 5th Vice-Governor, and Mr. Jean Pierre ASSOUMOU, Coordinator of the District's Project Unit.
The ceremony was presided over by the Minister of Youth Promotion, Professional Integration, and Civic Service. The event was also attended by the President of the Economic, Social, Environmental and Cultural Council (CESEC), who also serves as President of the Assembly of Regions and Districts of Côte d'Ivoire (ARDCI), Dr. AKA Aoulé, as well as several Presidents of Regional Councils and technical and financial partners, including the World Bank and the French Development Agency (AFD).
Through these two awards, the Autonomous District of Yamoussoukro sees its efforts rewarded and confirms its ambition to make youth employment a major driver of local development.
This double recognition constitutes strong institutional acknowledgment and encourages the continuation of initiatives promoting the professional integration and empowerment of young people.
