Visit of the President of the Republic of Congo to Yamoussoukro

President Denis Sassou Nguesso, as part of his State visit to Côte d'Ivoire, devoted the day of Wednesday, June 14, 2023, to Yamoussoukro, the political capital and birthplace of President Félix Houphouët Boigny.
This visit to Yamoussoukro was for him to pay a deserved tribute to the Builder of modern Côte d'Ivoire, Félix Houphouët Boigny, whom he describes as his Father.
On the occasion, he laid a wreath on his grave and visited the Basilica of Our Lady of Peace in Yamoussoukro.
Mr. Minister, Governor of the Autonomous District of Yamoussoukro, moreover, Head of Canton Akouê and the traditional chieftaincy have enthroned the President of the Republic, as Chief Akouê with the reign name Nanan N'guatta KPLE.
