CHRISTMAS 2024 IN THE AUTONOMOUS DISTRICT OF YAMOUSSOUKRO: MORE THAN 30 MILLION CFA FRANCS DEVOTED TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF CHILDREN

“Without gifts, Christmas would not be Christmas”, it is in this logic that the Minister, Governor, Augustin THIAM, registered by making Christmas 2024, an incredible moment for the children of the Autonomous District of Yamoussoukro, this Saturday December 21, in Haliat Parc (Yamoussoukro).

Indeed, in its 13th edition, this magical moment brought together many authorities including Mrs. Mariam BAMBA, 1st Vice-Governor, Representative of the Minister, Governor, also the presence of the Prefectural Body in the person of Mr. Mouroufie Yao KOKO Bernard, Secretary General of prefecture, Representing the Regional Prefect,
Mr. Alymann KOUASSI, 3rd Deputy Mayor of the commune of Attiegouakro, Representing the Mayor of Attiegouakro, crowned heads, religious guides, Agents of the Autonomous District of Yamoussoukro, and more than 500 children from several localities namely Attiegouakro , Lolobo, Kossou, and Yamoussoukro.

In a magical and joyful atmosphere, Madame Traoré Aïssata Épse FOFANA, Director of Human Promotion, took the floor, explaining that beyond the festive aspect, this activity is a gesture of solidarity, and it is more than 30 million of our francs which were injected into this project, thus showing the interest that the Minister Governor has in the children of the District.

Smiles were already visible on the children's faces when the 1st Vice-Governor, in the spirit of the speeches, affirmed that the Christmas Tree is not only a moment of sharing gifts and festivities, it is also an opportunity to strengthen our cohesion, to share unforgettable moments of happiness, which we remember throughout the year. 

Amazed by this magical day, N'GUESSAN Aude Orlane, Spokesperson for the beneficiaries, sent words of thanks to the Minister, Governor: “Pépé, thank you for the happiness, thank you for the well-being that you give us bring with these gifts.” 

This ceremony left broad smiles and memories on the children's faces that they will tell wherever they go, this shows the involvement of the Minister, Governor, Augustin THIAM, in the lives of his populations.
